Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International
Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the
evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with a brief orientation about the trek ahead.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Restricted Area Permit
Procedure
Today we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of
Kathmandu, such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and
Pashupatinath Temple. Meanwhile, our team will handle the paperwork and process
your special permits required for the Manaslu region.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (930m)
A long but scenic drive through the countryside, following
the Trishuli and Budhi Gandaki rivers, brings us to Machha Khola – the starting
point of the trek.
Day 4: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,290m)
We begin our trek, walking through terraced hillsides,
crossing suspension bridges, and passing small settlements before reaching
Jagat, a traditional stone village and checkpoint for permits.
Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,860m)
The trail continues through lush forest, waterfalls, and
river crossings. We pass through beautiful villages like Salleri and Philim
before reaching Deng.
Day 6: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,540m)
As we gain altitude, the landscape and culture begin to
reflect Tibetan influence. We trek through alpine forests and cross suspension
bridges on our way to the picturesque village of Namrung.
Day 7: Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon (3,390m)
We ascend gradually through charming villages like Lihi,
Sho, and Lho with views of Manaslu North and Himalchuli. The day ends at Sama
Gaon, a culturally rich Tibetan village and one of the highlights of the trek.
Day 8: Acclimatization Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,400m)
To help adjust to the altitude, we take a day hike to
Manaslu Base Camp. The trail offers stunning mountain views, glaciers, and
pristine alpine scenery before returning to Sama Gaon.
Day 9: Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3,690m)
A short and gradual hike through yak pastures and sparse
vegetation leads us to Samdo, a Tibetan refugee village with amazing mountain
surroundings and unique cultural heritage.
Day 10: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m)
We continue our ascent to Dharamsala, the high camp before
the pass. The hike is short but challenging due to the increasing altitude.
Rest well for the next day's big crossing.
Day 11: Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and Trek to
Bimthang (3,590m)
The most thrilling and rewarding day of the trek! We cross
the majestic Larkya La Pass, with panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal,
and Annapurna II. After the pass, we descend to the beautiful meadow of
Bimthang.
Day 12: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m)
Descending through rhododendron forests and alpine terrain,
we pass through yak pastures and small settlements before reaching Tilije, a
Gurung village with warm hospitality.
Day 13: Trek from Tilije to Dharapani and Drive to
Besisahar
A short trek leads us to Dharapani, where we officially exit
the restricted area. From here, we drive through winding mountain roads to
Besisahar.
Day 14: Drive Back to Kathmandu from Besisahar
Enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Once checked into
your hotel, you can rest, explore, or do some last-minute shopping.
Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu
After a memorable journey, we will transfer you to the
airport for your departure. We hope to see you again in the Himalayas!
