In the 1970s, Cangzhou was already renowned as China’s “Hometown of Pipe Fittings.” Mr. Zhang Jinyan, the founder of Jinsheng, was a major local distributor supplying products to critical sectors such as shipyards, nuclear power plants, and thermal power plants nationwide. But during the business boom, he encountered four major pain points: **soaring order volumes (200–300 tons per order) straining production capacity**, **unreliable quality of outsourced products**, **chronic delivery delays**, and **mounting pressure from clients over disputes**.

In 1983, Mr. Zhang made a decisive move: **building his own factory to ensure strict quality control and reliable deliveries**. Benefiting from national policies supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, this factory—initially established solely to secure internal supply—quickly became a leader in local shipbuilding flanges and the most specialized manufacturer in the region.

Later, General Manager Yang Guobin and his wife, Ms. Zhang Jing (the founder’s daughter), took over daily operations and expanded the business further. Back then, if competitors couldn’t produce certain flanges, we could—and if we couldn’t fulfill an order, competitors would simply give up.

However, the early 1990s brought economic downturn in China, and a single client’s debt exceeding **10 million RMB** forced a second transformation—**launching an international trade division**. Starting with just a two-person team, the company struggled through losses sustained by domestic trade support until the early 2000s, when strategic downsizing of high-risk domestic operations paid off—**annual foreign trade sales surged from 100,000 RMB to over 500,000 RMB**.

The next two decades marked relentless progress: **production space expanded from 1,200㎡ to 35,000㎡**, **manufacturing evolved from manual to CNC automation**, and **the business model solidified into a dual-engine structure of “Factory + Trade.”** Today, Jinsheng’s international sales team has grown to over 20 members, with **annual sales exceeding $30 million USD**.
