This 6-day itinerary with Vilima Adventure Tours takes you through dense rainforest, towering ridges, and rugged high-altitude landscapes, offering breathtaking scenery at every turn.
Unlike other routes, Umbwe is less crowded, providing a sense of exclusivity and raw wilderness. The trek begins on narrow forest trails, quickly ascending to the Umbwe Ridge and joining the Machame Route at Barranco Camp. From there, climbers tackle the famous Barranco Wall, traverse the Karanga Valley, and approach Barafu Camp before making the final push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)—the highest point in Africa.
This route demands excellent physical fitness and previous hiking or climbing experience, as the rapid ascent offers little time for acclimatization. However, climbing Kilimanjaro with Vilima Adventure Tours guarantees professional guides, quality equipment, and an unforgettable summit experience with panoramic views over the African plains and glaciers of Kilimanjaro.

Day 1. Drive from Marrakech to Imlil and trek to Toubkal Refuge
Our journey Toubkal trek 2 day, begins in the city of Marrakesh, continues through the small town of Tahnnaout, and ends in the town of Asni, which is distinguished by a blend of Marrakech and Berber culture, as the majority of the population speaks Berber. We quickly leave this wonderful town and travel deeper into the Atlas Mountains to the village of Imlil, which serves as the starting point for the climb to Toubkal. Here, we leave the vehicle and begin our trek, first through the Mizane valley to the village of Armed and then into the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, which attracts both tourists and pilgrims. The village is a jumbled cluster of houses that seem to melt together into an anarchic mass.
From here, the trail climbs steadily and zigzags its way up to the Toubkal Refuge, which is located at an elevation of 3206 meters.
Day 2. Trek to the peak of Jebel Toubkal and return to Imlil
We set out early this morning for the summit of Jebel Toukbal, Northern Africa's highest peak. Our path leads us up the south cirque, across the stream above the refuge, and across one of the mountains.
The walking is relatively easy, but the scree and altitude will make it difficult in places; however, the views along the way make the journey worthwhile.
After three hours of climbing through the mountains, we arrive at the summit, where we realize that the effort was well worth it, and we enjoy the sunrise, a moment of calm, and the breathtaking views in all directions.
After savoring these unforgettable moments, we prepare to descend from the summit, return to Imlil, and then drive to Marrakech. end of your Toubkal Trek 2 days Trek !
