After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration. Trek through lush rainforest filled with colobus monkeys and exotic birds. Dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut.</p><p data-start="1194" data-end="1391"><strong data-start="1194" data-end="1240">Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)</strong><br data-start="1240" data-end="1243">
Climb through moorland terrain with views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Enjoy the scenery of giant lobelias and groundsels. Overnight at Horombo Hut.</p><p data-start="1393" data-end="1581"><strong data-start="1393" data-end="1436">Day 3: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,703m)</strong><br data-start="1436" data-end="1439">
Ascend through alpine desert with stunning views of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Prepare for the summit push. Overnight at Kibo Hut.</p><p data-start="1583" data-end="1828"><strong data-start="1583" data-end="1629">Day 4: Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut</strong><br data-start="1629" data-end="1632">
Begin the summit attempt at midnight. Pass Gillman’s Point and Stella Point to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend through moorland and rainforest back to Marangu Gate.
