Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving south across the Athi plains toward Amboseli National Park, a journey of about five hours. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, one of Kenya’s most scenic parks, set against the backdrop of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants and a variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as you enjoy the evening sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
After an early breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive in Amboseli before exiting the park and proceeding to Tsavo West National Park, a drive of about three to four hours. The landscape changes dramatically as you approach Tsavo West, known for its rugged terrain, volcanic hills, and rich wildlife. Enter the park through the Chyulu Gate and visit the famous Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear oasis that hosts hippos, crocodiles, and colorful fish visible through an underwater viewing chamber. After lunch, take an afternoon game drive to explore the park further, searching for elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and other animals roaming the vast plains. Dinner and overnight will be at your Tsavo West lodge or camp.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park

Start the day with an early breakfast before departing for Tsavo East National Park, a drive of approximately two to three hours. Tsavo East is Kenya’s largest park and is famous for its red-dust elephants, vast open spaces, and the legendary “man-eaters of Tsavo.” Arrive in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tsavo East – Nairobi or Mombasa
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to catch the animals as they begin their day. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. This marks the end of your unforgettable 4-day safari through Kenya’s southern parks, filled with diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and memorable experiences.
