will pause for a snack, we will begin the summit push by zigzagging our way to
Gilman's Point. This is a difficult climb with loose ground beneath your feet
that will take about two hours to complete. Because it will be cold and possibly
windy, we will be walking at a rather leisurely pace. The sun will start to
rise next to the Mawenzi Peak and behind you as we go closer to the crater rim.
Keep in mind that the sun's warmth as it rises will ignite an inner fire within
you that will increase your energy and motivate you to keep ploughing forward.
At Gilman’s Point, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved rest and a snack before
continuing to Uhuru Peak. You’ll be able to take some pictures at Uhuru Peak
and enjoy the incredible views before we descend to Barafu Camp and have lunch.
