My
statement of art is as follows :
I grew up in a home divided by power, silence,
and conflict. Discouraged from becoming an artist, a seed of lost freedom was
planted in me early on. After a successful corporate career, I realized it
could never fill the emotional void I carried. In 2011, I left that world
behind to fully embrace the life of an artist—and to be free.
My work is rooted in contradiction: strength
and vulnerability, order and chaos. Each canvas is a response to my past and a
reclamation of voice, freedom, and identity. Art is not just what I do—it is
how I survived.
My body of work is guided by what I call
“Meridianism”: a visual language of vertical and horizontal lines symbolizing
Earth’s meridians and the energetic flow within the human body. Meridianism
seeks equilibrium and order within chaos, through a pursuit of light,
connection, and hope.
